Davidson Academy of Nevada may be the place for you!

How to Apply pages of our website for more information. The Academy is specifically designed to meet the needs of profoundly gifted middle and high school students who score in the 99.9th percentile on IQ or college entrance tests. On the
Application Review Process page, you will find detailed information about the on-site assessment.
Upcoming Tours for Prospective Students
At Davidson Academy tours, prospective students and
their parents meet current Academy students, parents, faculty and staff, and ask specific questions about the school.

Student Accomplishments
Congratulations to the following Davidson Academy students for these recent accomplishments:
- The Davidson Academy's DECA
team recently traveled to Orlando, Fla. to compete in the International Career Development Conference,
competing in various events related to marketing, business management, hospitality and tourism, economics, finance and entrepreneurship. Ten students represented the school and competed against the most elite DECA students from around the world. Special recognition went to Pranit Nanda, who finished as a top
20 semi-finalist in his event, Principles of Hospitality and Tourism.
- Haydn Bradstreet and Giselle Serate each received the
Harvard Book Award,
which is given out by the alumni of Harvard University to top-performing
juniors and seniors in 1,900 high schools.
- Giselle Serate was awarded the
Rensselaer Math Medal,
which is given to promising secondary school students who have distinguished themselves in mathematics and science.

One of 15 Davidson Academy graduates for the 2014-2015 school
year, Juliana Bogert has decided to attend college at the
University of Nevada, Reno, taking part in the accelerated B.S./M.D. program. There was recently a
signing event to celebrate Juliana's attendance at the University
next year. A 2014-2015 National Merit Scholarship finalist,
Juliana
has
been a student at the Academy since 2011. She
is pictured with University President
Marc Johnson.

The Northern Nevada Math Club (NNVMath), featuring Davidson Academy
students Paolo Adajar, Lauren Brilliant, Derek Chien, M. Dylan Hildebrand, Christoph Kemmelmeier, Rinik Kumar, Sarah MacHarg,
Nathan McAlister, Dhruv Rohatgi, Courtney Shinagawa and Winston Zeng,
placed 6th in the national American Regions Math League
(ARML) team math competition. Rinik was the team high scorer with 7 out of 10 correct answers in the individual round. NNVMath is an area math club for students in grades 7 through 12 who enjoy math and want to participate in team competitions.
