Greetings!
Hello
Educators Guild Members and welcome back to school! Many of
you will remember the monthly posts of last year; for those of you who
are new to the program, we would like to introduce our Educators Guild Post.
It is a monthly broadcast focused on resources for classroom
teachers. We hope you will find this issue helpful and please
remember Educators Guild members have access to our team of
professionals for consultation. As such, if you are looking
for assistance, ideas or resources, please feel free to contact us at edguild@ditd.org.
Articles
As
you know, each student comes to you with unique, individual
needs. We understand at times it can be difficult to meet the
needs of the high ability students in your classroom. You may
be interested in exploring the following articles that address
different educational options for gifted and talented students.
A
New Addition
Teachers,
why reinvent the wheel? Are you looking for some fresh ideas
to use with your students? In future Educators Guild Posts,
we’d like to feature lesson plans or ideas designed by
you. If you would like to share any outstanding lessons you
have used with your gifted students, please email edguild@ditd.org.
To
help get you started, below you will find great lesson plan websites
that don’t necessary focus on gifted education, but each
activity can be modified to meet the needs of individual
students.
We hope you all
have a great start to the school year! Please feel free to
email us at edguild@ditd.org
with any questions, comments or concerns.
